I can hardly believe that today is May 1....it feels like it should be only March 1, this year is going so fast!
I had a "day off" today....we went for a picnic and for a while I lay on the grass, eyes closed, feeling the warm sun on my face - and trying (in spite of the 5 year boy on my back eating sandwiches!) to imagine myself on the beach....it was a wonderful feeling.
The April weather here in London was fabulous...it would be lovely to think that summer is here to stay, but being England, you never know how long it will last and so you learn to make the most of each and every sunny day.
I've been looking at new bicycles for my daughter this week and, having spotted a beautiful pale green (old fashioned) model, I'm really tempted to buy one for myself...it's been ages since I rode a bike regularly. It could be just what I need for summer though.
My main goal for May is to really start getting in shape for summer, making sure I get to the gym more and get back in my evening walking routine with a group of friends....and my goal for the week is to book our summer holiday :)
I think I am still on a "wedding high" after Friday's amazing celebrations in London!! It makes me smile every time I think about it :)
